Collection Two — Structure & Systems

Bridges of Becoming:
Between What Was and What Remains

This work explores the bridges we build, cross, and sometimes burn throughout our lives-connections that shape us and the threads that endure long after moments have passed.
Each layer, each mark, carries the residue of encounter.

Pure Dream of Jasmine and Bamboo

I explored the relationship between the delicate fragrance of jasmine and the steadfast grace of bamboo. The gold leaf suggests a sacred light that flows through nature, illuminating the stillness within.

Luna Threads

This work examines the relational dynamics between Earth and Moon through the indigenous lens of interconnection and reciprocity. The circular form serves as both symbol and structure-visual field where geometry, rhythm, and texture converge.

The layered lines operate as woven threads, binding terrestrial and celestial energies into a single continuum. This work reflects on cycles of illumination, gravity, and balance, suggesting that the Earth-Moon relationship is not merely astronomical but ancestral.

The Dream Weaver’s Tapestry

The Dream Weaver’s Tapestry portrays dreaming as a quiet architect of reality. The painting affirms that our nightly visions are not separate from daily life, but are interlaced with it—woven patiently into who we become and how we act in the world.

Consistency of Winter

Consistency of Winter reflects the moment where seasons overlap, capturing autumn’s final glow as it holds back the advance of winter.

Through layered textures and evolving color, the work speaks to resilience and quiet endurance, suggesting warmth that lingers not only in the landscape but within us as well.

Contours of Illusion

The title points to the tension between what is known—the traceable contours of a map—and what slips into ambiguity or dream.
Through abstraction, the work reshapes the global image into an altered vision, where perception hovers between reality and illusion.

Dual Spheres

Rather than presenting harmony as sameness, Dual Spheres frames unity as balance achieved through difference.

Light exists because of dark, stillness because of motion. The painting becomes a visual statement about coexistence—two forces, two identities, held together in a single, continuous whole.

Neon Rain

Shanghai appears as a living structure, constantly extending upward and outward, with no fixed edge. Texture and layered marks mimic the distortion of vision through rain at night, where buildings blur, lights smear, and the city becomes both solid and ephemeral.

Contours of Space

In Contours of Space, plains become an experience shaped by architecture. The work speaks to how the environment is perceived through structure—how vastness is broken into parts, and how openness is understood through boundaries.
The painting becomes a dialogue between the natural impulse to look outward and the architectural impulse to define and contain.

The Unseen Transcend

This work reads as a vibrant, energetic meditation on the invisible forces that move through us and beyond us. Rather than illustrating transcendence directly, it embodies it through motion, accumulation, and rhythm, allowing the unseen to be felt rather than seen.

Cache of Dreams

Cache of Dreams unfolds as a quiet, immersive reflection on memory, the subconscious, and the fragile persistence of inner imagery.
The work does not declare itself loudly; instead, it invites prolonged looking, rewarding stillness with subtle depth and emotional resonance.

Twilight

Twilight presents an abstract, atmospheric meditation on the moment when day dissolves into night. Rather than depicting a literal scene, it evokes the sensation of twilight through layered color, softened forms, and a quiet, contemplative rhythm.

Autumn Calling

Autumn Calling reads as a richly layered reflection on seasonal change, memory, and the quiet dialogue between landscape and lived space.
The work feels grounded yet restless, capturing autumn not as a single moment, but as a slow, resonant shift in atmosphere and emotion.

Sacred Light of Emei

Sacred Light of Emei is my personal interpretation of Mount Emei as a place where light and spirit converge. The work seeks to hold a quiet, almost reverent moment when the mountain emerges through drifting mist and the first trace of golden light reaches its summit.

For me, this light is more than a natural phenomenon; it feels alive, a gentle presence that links the earth to something higher and unseen.

Veins of Equanimity

This painting expresses equanimity as a shared state rather than an individual one. It reflects how two different people can blend and become one as a couple without losing their separate identities. The red and orange bleed into each other, not in conflict, but in balance—each color present, each influencing the other equally.

The Pull Between Us

This painting is about attraction without collapse. There’s intensity, but also restraint—two energies aware of each other, shaped by the pull, yet still holding their own ground. It reflects how closeness can exist without erasure, how connection doesn’t have to mean losing yourself. It’s the slow, inevitable draw between two forces that never fully merge, but never stop influencing one another.
What lives between them is the relationship itself—quiet, powerful, and constantly in motion.

Patina

Patina is an abstract reflection on age, elegance, and lived experience, inspired by older women and expressed through rich, layered colors with touches of gold.
The painting treats aging as an accumulation rather than a loss, where time deepens texture, warmth and meaning, allowing the surface to glow with quiet strength, dignity, and enduring beauty.

Lokum and Lotus

Lokum and Lotus explore the coexistence of sensory pleasure and spiritual calm within a single space. Inspired by the jewel-like colors, layered textures, and indulgent richness of Turkish delight, the work places opulence alongside the lotus, a symbol of purity and stillness in Chinese culture. Golds and reds evoke warmth, celebration, and abundance.

Solar Roots

Aboriginal‑inspired patterning to trace the movement of energy from the sun into the earth and through all living things. Orange and white tones suggest solar force, while interwoven root‑like forms speak to growth, connection, and continuity below the surface.
The work reflects the idea that life and creation are inseparable—existing both above and below, bound together in a universal cycle.
At its core, the piece celebrates ancestral knowledge and the enduring relationship between nature, humanity, and the cosmos.

All Around Me Moves

Whispers in the Vortex

Whispers in the Vortex is less about chaos than about persistence. It reflects how quiet forces—repetition, habit, thought— shape experience over time.
The whispers are subtle, almost private, but together they form a field of motion that cannot be ignored.
The work remains open, inviting the viewer to enter the vortex and find their own rhythm within it.

Elevation of Verdure

Elevation of Verdure is an abstract meditation on growth and renewal, built through dense layers of green and rhythmic vertical marks.
The work evokes the sensation of being immersed within rising vegetation, where repetition and texture create a quiet sense of elevation. It captures nature not as a landscape, but as an accumulating presence—steady, abundant, and alive.

The Waltz of Periphery

The Waltz of Periphery explores movement at the edge of awareness, where forms drift, collide, and retreat without ever settling at the center.
The composition suggests a quiet choreography of fragments and gestures, guided by rhythm rather than structure.

Balance of Equilibrium

This work presents positive spiritual light as a stabilizing force. Equilibrium is shown as alignment between centre and expansion, stillness and motion, self and world.
The result is a visual affirmation of wholeness—energy that uplifts without overwhelming.

Space in Space

The leafing asserts material presence, while reflection denies solidity. The vertical lines impose structure, while space dissolves it. What remains is a tension between form and void.
The painting ultimately suggests that architecture does not need walls to exist. It can be a state of awareness—a luminous framework where perception, light, and silence become the true materials.

Reflections Under Red Lanterns

Reflections Under Red Lanterns transforms a cultural moment into an emotional landscape. It portrays Chinese New Year not as a spectacle alone, but as an experience of layered light—hanging, falling, and reflecting—where tradition, environment, and quiet reflection coexist.

YOU

”You” is an exploration of selfhood and interconnectedness. The dense network of white lines represents the constant flow of thought, energy, and experience that forms in the fabric of existence . At its center, the black rectangle stands as the self-a point of stillness within the surrounding noise, both distinct from inseparable from everything around it. The work reflects on how identity emerges from this collective field, suggesting that the boundaries between self and world are fluid and ever shifting.
